I agree, Witty,
If we see that some go into the millenium in mortal bodies, and we know that nobody will enter His rest, the millenium, that does not believe in Him, then who are these people? If the first resurrection is also the rapture, then all believers would be in their immortal bodies at that time.
There would be no believers left to populate the millenium and have children. Also, there would be no purpose to a millenium reign of Christ.
Love,
Bruce

the gates are open in the millennium for a thousand years and after the thousand year Satan is loosed to stir up the nations that are out of the new city Jerusalem to make war with Jesus, battle of armageddon. Rev 16:16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
Rev 19:19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
Rev 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshiped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

But, the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished?
Hitch, I am honored to have sparked a new idea perhaps? The purpose of a millennial reign. That is a good question. Jesus promised me a home in heaven. Not just a home but a mansion. A mansion in heaven would be, for me, simply being there, with Jesus and all the angels. One thing I see coming during the millennium is that the earth will certainly honor her sabbaths during that time as there will be noone alive to violate them. The earth will rest. Satan will be bound. Not physically chained. Just with nowhere to go and nobody to tempt. By the end of the millennium when the rest of the dead are raised he will be more than ready to launch an attack on the holy city as it settles on the mount. Is there a bonus prize?

Hi Hitch You asked: What is the purpose of a millennial reign of Christ? There are so many purposes, and so many chapters of the old testament that deal with the millenium and its purposes that I will need to make a new topic. I have been procrastinating on writing this topic because it will take so much time, but I will try to write it during the next few days. Basically it will be used to fulfill most of the prophecies dealing with God and Israel that have not been fulfilled yet. I will try to start getting everything together for this topic, but try to bear with me for a couple of days lol. Love, Bruce

Love, Bruce Hmmmmm Paul said: Acts 26:22 Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: What the prophets foretold and the Law foreshadowed has come. You will ,as you must, attempt to show why a return to geo-centric worship ,complete with bloody sacrfices and Temple rites is God's plan for the future. It wont be easy. Jesus said; The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospeTake care Hitch

Are you basing this on some sort of cosmic Sabbath in which the earth is laid fallow for a thousand years? Im not kidding it is the strangest Millennial concept Ive ever heard. Hitch

Is it not worth considering?
"And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison. v.5; But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. v.8,9; And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth...And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them." 2Peter 3:10-14; Is. 14:12-17; Ez. 28:12-19; Rev. 5:13.
Would not the resurrection of the wicked loose satan from his prison?
Who are these wicked that are resurrected in the second resurrection? Those who accepted the mark of the beast and worshiped the beast and his image in fulfillment of the great apostasy.
What is the great apostasy? The overtuning of the Law of God.
A cosmic Sabbath? A fallow earth? Couldn't have said it better myself.

Ask Hitch.
No fairnofairnofair... Actually the cosmic week, the 6 days of creation mirrored in 6 thousand years of history followed by the 7th day - the Millennium is probably as old as our literature. But your version of utter destitution is overwhelming. I cant imagine how you came up with it. Unique is just too weak a word to describe this one take care Hitch

Rev 21:25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. Rev 21:26 And they shall bring the glory and honor of the nations into it. Rev 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. Rev 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
